Blue Mountains and Nepean

Heritage Roses Blue Mountains and Nepean Group

Welcome to the Blue Mountains and Nepean Region, a World Heritage Listed Area a couple of hours west of Sydney. Our group of heritage rose enthusiasts meets on the third Friday of the month at the home of a member or for outings such as visiting local public gardens.

Blue Mountains and Nepean Group welcomes anyone who is interested in these beautiful old roses and their stories to join us. If you want information about our region and upcoming events, please contact the Blue Mountains and Nepean Group Coordinators, Liz Orme and Chris Kelly via the Contact Us form at Contact Us

If members of other regional groups are visiting the Blue Mountains and Nepean region and are interested in attending our events (the third Friday of most months) we would love to see you.

Blue Mountains and Nepean Heritage Roses Members Garden Stories

The cooler summers and cold winters of the Blue Mountains favour rose growing as well as other cold-climate garden plants such as rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas and bulbs. However, possums and crimson rosellas are challenging as they love chewing rose buds and new leaves!
